October 7th Project Update
The installation of four new valves is complete and the new hydrant installation is near completion. Backfilling and paving will take place October 8th and 9th. Detours and road closures remain in effect until removed.
The boil water advisory for specific properties remains in place for the time being, until sampling and tests are completed and quality assured. Those residents will be notified directly. The goal is to have advisories lifted as soon as possible.

October 5th Project Update
Due to some additional valve issues that were discovered on the weekend the excavation work that was originally scheduled was delayed until Monday. As a result, the overall schedule for this project has pushed back until later this week until completion. This will result in traffic restrictions at the intersection of 1st Ave S, 2nd St S, as well as 3rd St S as a result of the change.
Residents whose water service will be interrupted, remain on water advisory at this time and will be directly contacted regarding changes or lifts on the advisory.

ISSUED OCTOBER 1st
Starting on the morning of Saturday, October 3rd, a contractor for the City of Martensville will be replacing a series of valves and a hydrant at the intersection of 1st Ave S and 2nd St S. These replacements are necessary due to age-related failures and will require disruptions in the water supply to repair. Construction is expected to be completed within 3-4 days, weather permitting.
During construction, the intersection of 1st Ave S and 2nd St S will be closed to traffic. Residents that live in the area are asked to take alternate routes.
Residents whose water service will be interrupted have been provided notification and more information about this project.
