Facility Features
The MAP is the first facility of its kind in Saskatchewan, setting a new standard for recreation spaces in the province.
- Innovative Design
- The exterior is built using an insulated fabric structure supported by lightweight aluminum I-beams, offering a distinctive look with a 30-year life expectancy. The entire fabric membrane can be re-skinned, extending the facility’s life to 60 years.
- Sustainable Construction
- Interior partitions are made from cross-laminated timber sourced from sustainable forests. This material allowed for quick and efficient second-level construction.
- Energy Efficient
- The MAP uses LED lighting throughout, reducing energy consumption while keeping spaces bright and functional.
- Natural Light
- Daylight roof panels flood the interior with warm, natural light, creating an inviting and energizing atmosphere.
