Block parties and special events are great ways to get to know our neighbours, build social connections and improve our community!
- Neighbours can help when there is a medical or other emergency.
- When people communicate with each other, trust is gained and our community becomes safer.
- It’s fun to gather and celebrate with others who live in our community!
Residents can also plan special events within City-owned park space or at a City-owned recreation facility!
Prior to holding a block party or special event, be sure to fill out one of the following applications:

Remember, you must ensure all necessary permits and licenses in place prior to your party or event.
Applications should be submitted at least one month in advance of your event to receive formal approval.
