The Official Community Plan (OCP) provides objectives and policies to guide short and long term planning and land use management within the City’s boundaries.
The Zoning Bylaw controls the use of land and is legally enforceable. It puts the plan within the OCP into effect. The Zoning Bylaw includes:
- how land may be used
- where buildings and other structures can be located
- the types of land uses that are permitted on a property
- the lot sizes and dimensions, parking requirements, and setbacks from the street.
The Trilogy Ranch Concept Plan (TRCP) has been prepared in response to section 10.3 of the Martensville Official Community Plan (OCP). It is a statutory plan that will be adopted as a schedule to the Official Community Plan. Upon approval, the plan will provide a detailed framework to guide the development of approximately 270.84 ha (669.25 ac) of land situated within Martensville West.
