Martensville Recreation Centre- Project

The New Martensville Recreation Centre

The new Martensville Recreation Centre will support increasing population growth in the region, and further Martensville’s vision to have families, friends, and the community play and grow together in a safe, active, and healthy environment!

The Centre will include one regulation-size ice surface with spectator seating, a leisure ice surface with a skate change area, a full-size indoor artificial turf facility, a spectator lounge area, an indoor rock-climbing wall and an indoor playground. The Centre will also include multipurpose rooms available for use by community groups, cultural groups, and the public, as well as change rooms, washrooms and concession areas.

Benefits to Families, the Community, and the Region

• Families will benefit from having more space for children and youth to play the sports they love closer to home.
• Community organizations will benefit from additional space for cultural and other events.
• Martensville will be in a better position to attract major sporting events, bolstering amateur support and creating economic growth in  the local and regional business community.
• An estimated 140 jobs will be created with the development of the facility, with up to 70 on-site during construction.

Thank You Martensville Community Recreation Project (MCRP)!

The Centre would not have been possible without the work of the MCRP. The MCRP was formed in 2014 by a group of committed parents and local coaches committed to supporting local sport and recreation in Martensville. Since then, the MCRP has been working with other groups in our community and region to raise awareness about the need for additional recreational facilities in Martensville, and to raise funds for a new multipurpose facility.

Thank you to all of the volunteers, donors and community organizations who have been supporting this project over the years!
