The City of Martensville is pleased to announce the awarding of the management and operations contract of the new Martensville Recreation Centre to Nustadia Recreation Inc. (NRI) effective October 1, 2024.  NRI had already been awarded the pre-opening contract in November 2023 to assist with the facility’s opening.

NRI is a Canadian Company that provides complete turnkey development and operating management for recreational facilities across Canada. With facilities in Pitt Meadows, Grande Prairie, Okotoks, Saskatoon, and several other municipalities and educational institutions across Canada, NRI is one of the premiere private operators of recreation facilities in the country.

Working closely with Martensville administration, NRI will assume many functions in the management of the Martensville Recreation Centre, commencing with the development of a Community Access Plan. This will set the mission, vision and strategic objectives for the management of the facility.  The contract is for a five-year term with an option for an additional five-year term.  

The Martensville Recreation Centre is anticipated to open in late 2024 and will feature the new regulation-sized ice surface, spectator seating for 900, indoor soccer and turf area, retail and concession space and indoor playground and climbing area.
