City of Martensville Welcomes Provincial Commitment to Joint School Development

Martensville SK – March 18, 2026 - The Government of Saskatchewan’s 2026–27 Provincial Budget confirms funding for the Martensville–Warman joint school project, marking a significant milestone for the City of Martensville and the surrounding region.

The budget includes a $123.8 million investment in K-12 education capital for 2026-27, including funding for the pre-planning of new school projects in the communities of Warman-Martensville, Shellbrook, and Esterhazy.

In 2022, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and Prairie Spirit School Division submitted a joint application for a shared school facility, which Martensville City Council formally supported through a motion passed on October 18, 2022. The City is encouraged to see this long-anticipated project progressing.

“As an active partner in the Saskatoon North Partnership for Growth (P4G), the City of Martensville has consistently supported the development of a school to serve our growing communities of Martensville, Warman and the R.M. of Corman Park,” said Mayor Kent Muench. “The province’s investment recognizes the growth we are experiencing and the need to invest in our students and families. A joint school will play a key role in strengthening Martensville and the region for years to come.”

The location for a school that would serve Martensville, Warman, and Corman Park has been studied and identified. This location will be shared as the planning of the joint school progresses.

The City of Martensville looks forward to continued collaboration with the Province, our regional partners, Prairie Spirit School Division, and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools as the project advances into the next stages.
